Good location right next to the metro, ground level floor Pros
- located downtown D.C.
- coffee in the BnB
- one block from the Capitol Building & Library of Congress
- nice little seating area outside in the back
- nice big couch (can sleep on it stretched out)
Cons
- neighbors upstairs had some dogs that were a little annoying
- alleyway where we had reserved parking was rat infested
- little seating area out back was a little dirty Location was great; however, the beds really were not comfortable with bed frames very rickety. Otherwise, had a great stay. Pros: the neighborhood was great! Very convenient for our activities. Sojourn was very responsive and kindly let us drop off bags early.
Cons: The unit felt at or below a “college landlord special” in terms of upkeep. Several doors stuck so badly they required a shoulder shove to open or close. There were dead light bulbs, missing trim pieces, scuffed walls, etc. The design of the entrance also trapped bugs, so flies and mosquitoes entered with you whenever you opened the door.
The space itself is small but fair for the price. However, the beds were the biggest drawback—the mattresses were clearly well past their prime, very uncomfortable, and creaked like they were about to fall apart with even the slightest movement. Getting a decent night’s sleep was nearly impossible.
