Your stay may be short, but you can still enjoy a wonderful beach vacation at The Coastal Cottage. This home is custom designed to provide comfort and relaxation for families. The living and dining areas are brightly decorated and curated to be the perfect spot for entertaining and spending time together. The kitchen is fully equipped with stone countertops, new designer stainless steel appliances, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The Coastal Cottage has 3 bedrooms that can comfortably sleep 6 people. The Crate and Barrel dining table accommodates the entire family, while the custom designer living room is perfect for a movie night in. You'll find real down comforters, hand-picked feather and gel pillows, and luxury bath towels to indulge yourself. The sun-filled master bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has a twin bunk bed. The full bathroom has a bathtub, making it easy for kids to take a bath. The backyard is perfect for family time, with a fire pit, gas grill, and patio swing & chairs for lounging.
Please be aware that landscaping is scheduled for Monday to Wednesday in Norfolk. If you have booked this property, you acknowledge that our landscaper will enter the backyard to cut the grass during this time. Additionally, trash is scheduled to be picked up 3 days a week, and our private trash provider will be on site bringing the cans out and back in.

Our home has a contactless, seamless and easy self check- in. A code will be set for you and shared 48 hours before your arrival. At Sojourn we take your happiness and comfort seriously. 1) Our properties are protected by Truvi. Please note that if you book a short-term rental (under 30 days), you will be contacted by Truvi directly to verify yourself. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in.
2) Please confirm that you accept the following House Rules and Responsibilities on behalf of yourself and guests. A violation of the House Rules can result in an immediate termination of your reservation without refund.
For the comfort of our guests, residents and members of the Sojourn team, smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted anywhere in the interior of our building or within fifty (50) feet of our building, including outdoor spaces. Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke we will contact the booking service, terminate your stay, claim any and all damages, including but not limited to a $500 smoking fee, and post the appropriate review.
Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe however, noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation will be terminated without refund. Please also note that all Sojourn buildings and homes are equipped with some type of exterior camera that records the exterior and common areas to include all entries to the building.
What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains or in the garbage disposal - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest.
* Cooking Grease/Food/Coffee grinds should never be poured down any drain, period. ...
* Feminine Products. Tampons and other feminine hygiene products are not supposed to be flushed down the toilet.

3) If you are booking a flat that allows pets the pet fee is $75 per pet per week. This only applies to pet friendly listings.
3) We are happy to provide both a Pack and Play and/or high chair. These must be reserved in advance and a $25 rental fee will be charged.
4.) Fireworks and fires are illegal in Norfolk and any use of either near the home, on the beach or a the home will be cause for immediate termination of your stay.
5) There may be times where the home needs unexpected, or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay with us, sometimes this cannot be avoided thus Sojourn reserves the right to gain access to the properties at any time, after providing our guests with 24 hour written notice.
6) Please note that neither Sojourn nor the property owner shall be held liable for any loss, theft, damage, or injury to the vehicle or any personal property therein, nor for any injury to the driver, passengers, or any other person, arising out of or in connection with the use of the parking space. Any use of the parking space is at the sole risk of the vehicle owner or driver. Neither Sojourn nor the owner guarantee the safety or security of any vehicle parked in the parking space and disclaims any responsibility for any acts of theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity.View More

We loved our stay here. The home was cozy and welcoming. The location is perfect - we walked to the beach to watch the sunrise. The multiple options of kcup or drip coffee including a fresh can of ground coffee was a welcoming and unexpected touch. The mattress was comfortable, the bedding was fluffy and soft, with fresh linens and lots of pillows. We also appreciated the lovely vegan bath and body products provided. And everything was clean, clean, clean! Extra care was taken to make this stay completely exceed our expectations. I'll be looking to stay at another Sojurn airbnb for my next trip. Thank you! A

ODU Graduation!
So…My family of 4, plus a friend, and our 110lb American Bully stayed here on December 13th-15th.And we were very pleased with our stay overall. Let me give the pros and the cons.Pros: Good location. It’s just on the other side of the tunnel and very close to the beach (our dog loved it). The property is very nice and updated. Huge backyard, and long driveway for multiple cars. Quiet neighborhood and no noise from highway traffic. The kitchen was our favorite by far. Well stocked and modern. You won’t need to bring anything. They have all the pots, dishes, and utensils you will need. Wish I could’ve taken the stove with me. Check in and check out instructions were made so easy for us. Never talked to or met with the property manager. The SOJOURN team communicated with me from start to finish (via text). The bedrooms and bathroom were of good size and met our expectations. We had no issues.Cons: In 2 of the bedrooms, the closets didn’t have the bars to hang up your clothes. This wasn’t a big deal and it’s an easy fix for SOJOURN. And the 3 trash cans out back were full from the previous group. Again, maybe this was a missed pick up, but again, not a big deal. However, presentation is everything. And finally, make sure that you ask about all of the taxes and fees for renting in Norfolk. Trust me.. ask! Overall, we will look for other properties that SOJOURN monitors in hopes of having the same pleasant experience.We highly recommend this place for a weekend getaway. Michelle

Nice place, clean and the fenced in backyard was wonderful for my pup. I travel frequently for business and will for sure stay here again.
