1) Our properties are protected by Truvi. Please note that if you book a short-term rental (under 30 days), you will be contacted by Truvi directly to verify yourself. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in.
2) Please confirm that you accept the following House Rules and Responsibilities on behalf of yourself and guests. A violation of the House Rules can result in an immediate termination of your reservation without refund.
For the comfort of our guests, residents and members of the Sojourn team, smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted anywhere in the interior of our building or within fifty (50) feet of our building, including outdoor spaces. Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke we will contact the booking service, terminate your stay, claim any and all damages, including but not limited to a $500 smoking fee, and post the appropriate review.
Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe however, noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation will be terminated without refund. Please also note that all Sojourn buildings and homes are equipped with some type of exterior camera that records the exterior and common areas to include all entries to the building.
What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains or in the garbage disposal - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest.

* Feminine Products. Tampons and other feminine hygiene products are not supposed to be flushed down the toilet.

3) If you are booking a flat that allows pets the pet fee is $75 per pet per week. This only applies to pet friendly listings.
4) We are happy to provide both a Pack and Play and/or high chair. These must be reserved in advance and a $25 rental fee will be charged.
5) If you are booking a flat in Washington DC, we have several parking options. Please inquire about advanced parking pass or parking space reservations.
Please note that neither Sojourn nor the property owner shall be held liable for any loss, theft, damage, or injury to the vehicle or any personal property therein, nor for any injury to the driver, passengers, or any other person, arising out of or in connection with the use of the parking space. Any use of the parking space is at the sole risk of the vehicle owner or driver. Neither Sojourn nor the owner guarantee the safety or security of any vehicle parked in the parking space and disclaims any responsibility for any acts of theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity.
6) There may be times where the home needs unexpected, or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay with us, sometimes this cannot be avoided thus Sojourn reserves the right to gain access to the properties at any time, after providing our guests with 24 hour written notice.

Amenities
I only put a 1 start for value because it costed me $1,100. Definitely a cash grab for the presidential inauguration. I had many other choices in similar price so it was not a grave decision. Room was not nearly as large as the photos. Due to a flight delay I requested a slightly late departure (wouldn’t have been more than 30 minutes.) I was told no due to a cleaning service. We had to wait outside for an uber and it took very long, THERE WAS NO CLEANING SERVICE. Obviously not fault of the owner but I still prefer a truthful response rather than a lie. Heat did not work well and I also needed to use the burners to warm the place up. Overall a great place but plenty of deception in a minimal way. I recommend this highly if you are understanding of what I had just said in the review Gregory

First good things:
Very nice quiet location.
Size of a place seems a big smaller than on photos but just enough for a couple.
Good kitchen with everything you need for cooking.
It’s been clean. The host was communicative responsive.
Not good things:
Wi-fi is very bad. Even I wrote about it but it was never fixed. It comes and goes and its slow.
A/c is right above the bed headboard and it was cold so we used it to warm the room and it was blowing right on us. The air was very dry.
If you think to take a dog it’s $75 extra.
Also its half a basement so it’s cooler there in winter.
But in the end we liked our stay and maybe we’ll come back some time.
