This newly renovated basement apartment is a wonderful combination of historic elegance, modern updates and amenities, and a highly sought after Capitol Hill location. Encompassing the entire lower level of a gorgeous, newly remodeled home, this apartment is spacious and private.
You will have your own private entryway that leads out onto the brick patio, but may also enter through the building’s main front door. The open plan kitchen and living space is equipped with everything you need to cook, dine, entertain, and relax. The living room features hipster-esque exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, a flat screen HDTV, and a sleeper sofa. The updated kitchen comes complete with all-new stainless steel appliances and cookware and dishes to make you feel right at home. An eating area doubles as a workspace, for those of you who take your work home with you. The apartment has ample storage with large cabinets and drawers. Perfect for the busy professional! The large bedroom offers a comfortable queen sized bed, a large flatscreen HDTV, two spacious closets, and a spotlessly clean full bath. Cable and high speed Internet access are included, so your home can double as a space for work as well as relaxation.

The property is conveniently located just a quick walk to the Capitol South Metro stop (Blue / Orange line, 5 blocks away) and the Eastern Market Metro stop (Blue / Orange line, 4 blocks away). Taxis and Uber are readily available in Capitol Hill, especially on major thoroughfares such as Pennsylvania Avenue. Ronald Reagan National Airport is just a 15 minute cab ride away and is also accessible via the Blue Line metro. Street parking passes for Zone 6 are also available for tenants with cars.
The unit is right across the hall from the laundry room with a full size washer and dryer, which you can access freely. An outdoor brick patio is also available for you to enjoy the sunny spring and summer days in DC.
We are looking forward to hosting you but there are a few things you need to do in order to make sure that you, and all of our guests, are safe and that everyone can enjoy their respective stays! This message also includes other useful information about pets, baby gear and parking:
1) Our properties are protected by Truvi. Please note that if you book a short-term rental (under 30 days), you will be contacted by Truvi directly to verify yourself. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in.
2) Please confirm that you accept the following House Rules and Responsibilities on behalf of yourself and guests. A violation of the House Rules can result in an immediate termination of your reservation without refund.
For the comfort of our guests, residents and members of the Sojourn team, smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted anywhere in the interior of our building or within fifty (50) feet of our building, including outdoor spaces. Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke we will contact the booking service, terminate your stay, claim any and all damages, including but not limited to a $500 smoking fee, and post the appropriate review.
Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe however, noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation will be terminated without refund. Please also note that all Sojourn buildings and homes are equipped with some type of exterior camera that records the exterior and common areas to include all entries to the building.
What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains or in the garbage disposal - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest.

* Feminine Products. Tampons and other feminine hygiene products are not supposed to be flushed down the toilet.

3) If you are booking a flat that allows pets the pet fee is $75 per pet per week. This only applies to pet friendly listings.
4) We are happy to provide both a Pack and Play and/or high chair. These must be reserved in advance and a $25 rental fee will be charged.
5) If you are booking a flat in Washington DC, we have several parking options. Please inquire about advanced parking pass or parking space reservations.
Please note that neither Sojourn nor the property owner shall be held liable for any loss, theft, damage, or injury to the vehicle or any personal property therein, nor for any injury to the driver, passengers, or any other person, arising out of or in connection with the use of the parking space. Any use of the parking space is at the sole risk of the vehicle owner or driver. Neither Sojourn nor the owner guarantee the safety or security of any vehicle parked in the parking space and disclaims any responsibility for any acts of theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity.
5) There may be times where the home needs unexpected, or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay with us, sometimes this cannot be avoided thus Sojourn reserves the right to gain access to the properties at any time, after providing our guests with 24 hour written notice.View More

I had an exceptional stay at this Airbnb, which is perfectly placed on Capitol Hill. The location couldn't be better—ideal for attending the 2025 Inauguration and the associated galas and balls. Everything was within easy reach, making it the perfect home base for such a historic event.
As a busy executive, I truly appreciated the updated amenities and high-class style of the apartment. The space was modern, well-appointed, and exuded sophistication. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, from the comfortable furnishings to the high-end finishes.
This location is a dream for those who enjoy cooking while away. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to prepare a great meal, which is a rare find in short-term rentals.
Kudos to the host for creating such a perfect experience—I will absolutely be staying here again! Great place to stay! Will stay again next time I’m in town. Good value for anyone looking to stay near Capital Hill! Very responsive host. Joseph James

Great neighborhood that was a short walk to Capitol or cheap uber to other tourist destinations. Neighborhood was great for walking dog. Rental was perfect for the 3 of us plus dog. Would definitely come back.
