The house is the first private home on Winston Salem Ave (aka 5th Street) from the beach and boardwalk and directly faces one of the most Instagrammed spots in Virginia Beach, Rudee Inlet, a must-visit for locals and visitors alike. This popular hub of marinas and restaurants is the launching point for water sports, boat tours, parasailing, jet skis, paddle boards and fishing charters...and you have a front row seat!
Start your morning with coffee and watch the sunrise over Rudee Inlet as it opens on to the Atlantic Ocean on one of four private balconies and porches, complete with chairs and bistro tables.
Next, take a very short walk to the beach for an unforgettable classic beach day on the wide, sandy beach. If you feel more adventurous, try catching some waves on a boogie or surfboard. No need to worry about beach accessories. We provide a beach cart, beach chairs (4), boogie boards (2), cooler, and beach towels.
If you have kids in tow, visit Grommet Island, a 15,000 square foot beach park featuring an incredible playground at 2nd Street. Clean, public restrooms are available. We also provide a pack n play, high chair, and stroller.
As the sun begins to set, listen to live music, watch street performers, sit at outdoor cafes, or take a walk or jog down the three-mile Boardwalk.
After a day on the water or at the beach, sit on one of the private porches overlooking the boats and water with a cold drink or head to one of the great happy hours close by (Waterman’s is home to the Virginia Beach famous Orange Crush!).
Head to dinner (or order in!) from one of the restaurants just steps away with some of the freshest seafood in town. Big Sam’s (a locals’ favorite small and unassuming seafood shack), Rudee’s Restaurant and Cabana Bar (open air seating known for their unique gliding tables overlooking the marinas), and Rockafeller’s (offering great views and seafood and produce from local fishermen, oystermen, and farmers) all overlook the water and each offer a unique take on fresh seafood pulled straight from the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
*****FIRST FLOOR****
Open floor plan with lots of natural light and 9ft ceilings on first floor. Three separate seating areas perfect for lounging and watching TV, playing games (Monopoly, Jenga, and others provided), and a cozy area for reading or having cocktails with friends. Decorated in modern coastal style.
A large upscale kitchen with granite counters, statement lighting, stainless appliances, 8ft center kitchen island (seats 6), and large kitchen table with banquette seating (seats 8) is a great place to have family meals or gather socially. It has everything you could possibly need to feel right at home. -Kitchen amenities include:

An outdoor shower with both hot and cold water is located on the side of the garage so that you can wash the sand off you and beach equipment before entering the house.
*****SECOND FLOOR*****
The open and airy master bedroom has 16 foot vaulted ceilings with a giant chandelier as the centerpiece of the room. A king size canopy bed fills the rest of the vertical space. The room also features a full size couch and coffee table—a perfect place to get some work done or sit and relax by watching the 50 inch tv. If you would rather sit outside, there is a private porch that spans the length of the front of the house. 4 chairs and 2 bistro tables make it a great place to sit and have a drink and watch the boats and world go by. A Keurig is also available so you don’t even have to leave the room to get your morning coffee. High quality sheets and pillows and room darkening drapes will allow you to have a restful night’s sleep. A large walk-in closet with full length mirror, hangers, and luggage racks is just off the room. Finally, the master bedroom has its own large bathroom with a jetted tub under a capiz shell chandelier, shower, and separate toilet closet. The bathroom is equipped with basic toiletries, a hairdryer, towels, and his and hers slippers.
The remaining three bedrooms are located at the back of the home. A second king room has an upholstered bed, large gold Art Deco mirror, and sparkling crystal chandelier. This room is also equipped with ample drawer space and a 32 inch TV. A smaller private porch is located off of this room and has a place to sit and take in the view of the marina and Inlet. This room has a closet with luggage racks, hangers, and full length mirror. Again, high quality linens and pillows and darkening drapes set the stage for sound sleep.
The Queen room has a gold canopy bed and an orb chandelier. At the foot of the bed you will find a 7 drawer dresser and 32 inch TV. Just like the King room, a closet with luggage racks and full length mirror complete the room. Just like the other rooms, high quality linens and room darkening drapes create the perfect environment for sleep.
Finally, the Bunk Room has two sets of white bunk beds with a little bit of whimsy (wait until you meet the pink flamingo) and a loveseat that pulls out into a 5th twin bed. The room has been equipped with some toys to keep the kiddos busy and a 32 inch TV set above a set of dresser drawers. Closet with luggage racks and full length mirror. Quality bedding and blackout drapes will have your babes sleeping through the night.
Another full bath with tub and shower serves the 3 bedrooms at the back of the house. Basic toiletries and towels are provided.
The washer and dryer are also located on the second floor as is the linen closet where you can find bath and beach towels. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets are provided. An iron and ironing board are also available.
Child friendly: high chair, stroller, and pack and play.

Pet Policy
Most of our residences are pet friendly and welcome your four-legged companions. While most booking platforms include the pet fee upon reservation, any exclusions will be invoiced at $15 per night for stays up to 30 days and $450 total for stays 31 days or longer. Kindly inform us of any pets joining your stay so we may update your reservation accordingly. We do love furry companions, but we do have some properties that are not pet-friendly. If you’re traveling with a pet please ensure this is a pet-welcoming home. If it is not, we’d be happy to recommend one of our many pet-friendly stays.

Great place to stay for the weekend. Phenomenal location, close to the beach! The stay was good overall. Great location. Roomy living space. Feels like a family home. It has an older home vibe. Host is attentive and responds quickly. Would comment that the TV downstairs had an issue working one day. The floor rugs should be taped down to prevent falls. Only 1 of the 4 bikes were working properly. Wonderful folks, lovely house located just a 3 minute walk or so to the beach. The house was modern, extremely well equipped, and easy to check into. The area was safe as well. Would recommend. We chose this place based on location and the photos and we WERE NOT disappointed in the least!! In fact, I think most of us were just absolutely floored with how spacious, convenient, and well-decorated the home was and how perfectly comfortable we all were!! <br/>Heck, if someone had gotten sick on this trip they wouldn’t have complained because they were stuck in such wonderful accommodations. Haha.<br/>Jackie was an OUTSTANDING HOST!!!!! Very communicative, clear, responsive, thoughtful, considerate, and very friendly.
