There are local eateries in Corolla and in Duck. Most of the nicer ones will require a reservation - some on Open Table. There are many adventure activities and tours in the area and they fill up fast. Just a few minutes north is the entrance to the 4x4 Beach, where you can take a scenic drive on the sand and possibly catch a glimpse of the wild horses grazing on the beach. Walk to the Whalehead Brewery, Food Lion or Timbuck 2 shopping center.
