Great stay! Lovely apartment exactly as described. Nice + clean bathroom, nice living room + dining nook, clean kitchen, and bed was comfy. Neighborhood is awesome - I used to live in DC and spent a fair amount of time in this neighborhood, so it was really fun to be back there. Lots of great restaurants, bars, etc. around. It's a calm street in a fun neighborhood which is a great combo - not a lot of street noise but very walkable. Would recommend staying here! The location was fantastic! You are steps away from a local bakery, a grocery store, a 7-11 and numerous fantastic restaurants and bars. Metro bus stops are a walkable distance and you can walk to a lot of great neighborhoods. This is on the 2nd floor. Street noise was fairly minimal being higher up. It was easy to get to and getting in was easy. You will need to go up one flight of stairs with your luggage.
The kitchen was well-stocked with a drip coffee maker and a Keurig. The bathroom was VERY clean and had a great area for storing your bathroom items! It was a perfect size for two people. The sheets were very clean. The bed was a little noisy if you move in the slightest.
Our only issue is up close, a lot of the walls had scuff marks on them and there was some dust accumulated on the window sills and a stain on the rug. I think a new paint job or a magic eraser would make the place look more kept for what we paid. (There was no laundry detergent, so had to run and get some.) Great place for my parents to stay for a few nights. It was very tidy, lots of natural sunlight, had all the amenities (coffee machine, coffee pods, laundry and detergent etc, shampoo, etc), and right down the street from the hustle and bustle of 17th street. Highly recommend if you like to walk places. No door on the bedroom, but wasn’t an issue for them.
