We are looking forward to hosting you but there are a few things you need to do in order to make sure that you, and all of our guests, are safe and that everyone can enjoy their respective stays! This message also includes other useful information about pets, baby gear and parking:
1) Our properties are protected by Truvi. Please note that if you book a short-term rental (under 30 days), you will be contacted by Truvi directly to verify yourself. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in.
2) Please confirm that you accept the following House Rules and Responsibilities on behalf of yourself and guests. A violation of the House Rules can result in an immediate termination of your reservation without refund.
For the comfort of our guests, residents and members of the Sojourn team, smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted anywhere in the interior of our building or within fifty (50) feet of our building, including outdoor spaces. Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke we will contact the booking service, terminate your stay, claim any and all damages, including but not limited to a $500 smoking fee, and post the appropriate review.
Our minimum age requirement is generally 25.
Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe however, noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation will be terminated without refund. Please also note that all Sojourn buildings and homes are equipped with some type of exterior camera that records the exterior and common areas to include all entries to the building.
What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains or in the garbage disposal - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest.
* Cooking Grease/Food/Coffee grinds should never be poured down any drain, period.
* Feminine Products. Tampons and other feminine hygiene products are not supposed to be flushed down the toilet.

Fireworks are illegal in Virginia. If you are found to be engaged in setting off fireworks we are required by the city to immediately terminate your stay. Also If you are found responsible for having started a wildfire or dune fire with fireworks, you may be liable for all suppression and reclamation costs or even face imprisonment and fines.
3) If you are booking a flat that allows pets the pet fee is $100 per pet per week. This only applies to pet friendly listings.
4) We are happy to provide both a Pack and Play and/or high chair. These must be reserved in advance and a $25 rental fee will be charged.
5) There may be times where the home needs unexpected, or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay with us, sometimes this cannot be avoided thus Sojourn reserves the right to gain access to the properties at any time, after providing our guests with 24 hour written notice.
6) Please note that neither Sojourn nor the property owner shall be held liable for any loss, theft, damage, or injury to the vehicle or any personal property therein, nor for any injury to the driver, passengers, or any other person, arising out of or in connection with the use of the parking space. Any use of the parking space is at the sole risk of the vehicle owner or driver. Neither Sojourn nor the owner guarantee the safety or security of any vehicle parked in the parking space and disclaims any responsibility for any acts of theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity.View More

Perfect Family Reunion for all ages!
Beach Dreams was an excellent choice for our group of 12 with room to spare. We were a very short walk to a beautiful beach with plenty of room to spread out even in the high season of July. The pool and hot tub were highlights as they were a great place to hang out for our varied age groups. The kitchen and entire home were well-stocked. Team Sojourn was very very responsive to our few questions, both via email and phone. The provided pool towels were a nice touch. We would highly recommend this property! Suggestions to bring Beach Dreams up to standards:<br/>- Provide all relevant rules, regulations & restrictions in advertised listing, rather than 1 or 2 days before arrival!<br/>- Photographs do not accurately depict the poor condition of the pool table, ping pong table, cornhole set, water volleyball net, horseshoes, putting green & picnic table (dangerously broken). The dining table only seats 10, not the 16 the house advertises as capacity.<br/>- Photographs also need to be updated. There is NO tiki bar, and the grass has not been mowed for several weeks, if not months. Tall weeds & vines are around pool, over fence & front yard.<br/>- Outdoor furniture, fencing & windows should be power washed at least bimonthly to control mold, mildew, and insects.<br/>- Owners should be required to visit their rental property at least twice annually to assess the ongoing updates and improvements that require attention.<br/>The pool and hot tub were clean and lots of FUN!<br/>(From owner of 3 Airbnb rentals.) We loved staying at Beach Dreams. It was perfect for our family group with multiple couples and children of varying ages including 1 infant. We swam in the pool every day and found the 1 block walk to the beach super convenient. The host provided a high chair and baby gates which simplified baby life. I appreciated the decor which was beautiful and peaceful, without breakable knickknacks to stress about! The numerous decks and hot tub provided spaces to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We grilled and cooked in the large kitchen, and found the big dining table perfect for family dinners. There are opportunities less than a mile away to kayak and paddleboard on the bay. I really appreciated that the host does not have cumbersome rules and check out procedures - they truly made it easy so that we could spend our time enjoying our stay. Thank you Sojourn! Would absolutely vacation here again! Good location, the house was perfect for our large group.<br/>The Sojourn team was very responsive and exceptional at quickly working through a few items early in the stay. We appreciate their help and extra efforts to make our vacation a total success. <br/>Thank you!!
