Your new home is located in the heart of Capitol Hill, a charming and colorful historically famous neighborhood. What started out as an area for members of Congress to live in the late 18th century, has now become Washington DC's largest residential historic district. This apartment is located on a scenic residential street, yet you can walk to dozens of fantastic locally owned restaurants, Starbucks, and grocery stores.
On weekdays, you can stroll to the Supreme Court building or Library of Congress to take a tour of our nation’s most venerable structures, then head to Union Kitchen 3rd to buy some groceries on your way home for dinner. On weekends, you can spend some time perusing Lower Senate Park after getting a cup of coffee from Ebenezers Coffeehouse.
Walking is ideal for nearby landmarks like the U.S. Capitol, while the Metro, Capitol South Station being the closest, offers fast access to other areas. Busses provide affordable options, and bikeshares and scooters are excellent for short distances and a scenic ride. Ride shares and taxis are convenient and readily available.
We are looking forward to hosting you but there are a few things you need to do in order to make sure that you, and all of our guests, are safe and that everyone can enjoy their respective stays! This message also includes other useful information about pets, baby gear and parking:
1) Our properties are protected by Truvi. Please note that if you book a short-term rental (under 30 days), you will be contacted by Truvi directly to verify yourself. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in.
2) Please confirm that you accept the following House Rules and Responsibilities on behalf of yourself and guests. A violation of the House Rules can result in an immediate termination of your reservation without refund.
For the comfort of our guests, residents and members of the Sojourn team, smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted anywhere in the interior of our building or within fifty (50) feet of our building, including outdoor spaces. Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke we will contact the booking service, terminate your stay, claim any and all damages, including but not limited to a $500 smoking fee, and post the appropriate review.
Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe however, noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation will be terminated without refund. Please also note that all Sojourn buildings and homes are equipped with some type of exterior camera that records the exterior and common areas to include all entries to the building.
What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains or in the garbage disposal - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest.
* Cooking Grease/Food/Coffee grinds should never be poured down any drain.
* Feminine Products. Tampons and other feminine hygiene products are not supposed to be flushed down the toilet.

3) This is a pet free home. If you are bringing pets, please reach out to our Guest Services Team who will gladly recommend pet friendly homes to you.
4) We are happy to provide both a Pack and Play and/or high chair. These must be reserved in advance and a $25 rental fee will be charged.
5) If you are booking a flat in Washington DC, we have several parking options. Please inquire about advanced parking pass or parking space reservations.
6) There may be times where the home needs unexpected, or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay with us, sometimes this cannot be avoided thus Sojourn reserves the right to gain access to the properties at any time, after providing our guests with 24 hour written notice.View More
Amenities
This is a great quiet spot on the Hill! Close to two metro stops, restaurants in Eastern Market & of course all the sites on the Hill (Capitol, Supreme Court, Library of Congress). Wonderful spot! The unit itself is outfitted with all the essentials and is very well remodeled. Would rent here again when we come back to DC! Cynthia Bishop

We were extremely pleased with this location. It allowed us to be within reasonable walking distance to restaurants, Capitol South metro stop, and family who lives on the Hill. Kitchen and bath were well-stocked with essentials. Host replied promptly to questions. We hope to return! Andrea Galliano

Fantastic place right in the shadow of the spring building. Unfortunately, we were unable to stay in this Airbnb due to a pipe bursting in the apt next door (not Sojourn's fault). The airbnb was beautiful & pictured exactly like the photos, but when we saw the puddles of water throughout the apt during check-in, we contacted Sojourn & they responded immediately. Their maintenance department & co-owner, Dunnzy, were on-site within 10 mins of my message to investigate! They were able to find us another airbnb for the night and Dunnzy even drove us. We were a little bummed we weren't close to the Capital, but the space was nice. They knew how much we wanted to be by the Capitol & near the National Mall, so they found us another place on the same street as the Supreme Court, HOW AWESOME! This 3rd space on the same street as the Supreme court was amazing! Beautiful, clean, and exactly where we wanted to be. Sojourn was amazing & more than accommodating and made sure our vacation went off smoothly! We would absolutely book with them again!
